Skiing

It was an ideal day for skiing. As you can tell by the pictures it doesn't get better than this. Flagstaff just had a huge storm and Snowbowl just had 6 feet of snow dumped on it. It was 40 (something) degrees, and Steve got to come with us. Also Eliza went from kind of being a skier to amazing! She was keeping up with me the whole way down the mountain. Dallin and Steve snowboarded and well Dallin just jumps right on his board and off he goes. It was such a fun day.
Eliza and Steve waiting in the lift line. We took turns riding up with the kids. They could ride up alone, they have finally mastered getting on and off the lift. However I have this fear of them falling off the chair. So for now Steve and I will divide and conquer.

Dallin totally warn out after a few runs. We had lunch and refueled.

Eliza and Steve on the lift.
I was trying to hold the camera out in front of us on the lift to get a good shot of Dallin. This is the best I could do.
Dallin and Eliza posing for the camera right before our last run of the day.
I think my hubby is still hot!!!
At the top of the mountain. Look at the view. It was so pretty up there.

Random Events

Eliza in the snow fort her and her friend built. It was the day it was snowing a ton and I told Steve to go call the girls in for cinnamon rolls. After about 5 minutes he came in and said he couldn't find them. I went out to help him look and couldn't find them either. I came back in and got my snow gear on and went back out to look. At this point I was starting to worry a little. I started to yell there names and finally Eliza decides to come out from there secret fort and let me know they were safe. They built the coolest fort under 3 pine trees. They packed the snow all around and made tunnels connecting them. Lots of fun.

I called this post random because we have 2 cameras. These are the pictures from the little camera that never get downloaded. So here we are and this is my favorite thing to do with my kids. I love to read books in our bed. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE when Spencer sleeps on chest. I loved it when all my babies feel asleep this way, minus Eliza who was not a cuddler at all. It kind of broke my heart that she didn't love to snuggle up, she still doesn't.

Here we all are crammed into the suburban on the way to the BYU football game. GO COUGS!
Steve and Dallin cheering the cougars on. They got killed.
Aunt Rachel and Uncle Matt
Dallin with Santa at the Nutcracker we took the kids to Scottsdale for the weekend and saw the Nutcracker. It's a family tradition.
Eliza looking oh so cute with Santa.

Eliza Outfit

I have been working on this outfit since a week after Christmas. I was planning on just running it through the sewing machine, but way to much bunching. I had to HAND STITCH the whole thing. It took forever!! But, well worth it. She looked so cute at church and I got a big hug from her, "You make me the best clothes Mom. I just love you and the clothes you make," Is what she said while hugging me.

Snowy days(week)!

The puppies(Liea, who is now 2, December 18th. Lucy, who turned 1 in October) trying to get to Eliza and Steve.
Just an idea of how much snow we got over the last week. It snowed about a foot and a half on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday we got about 2 or 3 feet and then rained for about 6 hours. Then it started to snow again and we got another 2-3 feet. Oh the fun. I have to admit, I love it. I am at home with my family and no where to rush off to. I made soup and cinnamon rolls one day. We have played games, made a bunch of crafts, played in the snow and shoveled the walk and drive way about a gazillion times.
Just to give you an idea of how much snow that is, Steve is walking in the street right in front of our yard.
Eliza taking a break.

Steve with Spencer on his back. We went out for a hike. The kids had their friends over to play for the day. It was on Thursday. Steve's work shut down for 2 days. Yeah, I was so happy to have him home. Back to the hike. We decided to go out in the snow and hike their friends home. To bad at that point it started to rain. However, since we we're all ready to go, we hiked them home anyways. Even though it was wet, it was a lot of fun, no complaints. Spencer was having the best time. Every time I looked over at him, he was smiling away. Of course for those of you who have met the little guy, he always smiles when you look at him.
Spencer, before the big hike. Smiling, of course! OK, I know i am his mom, but seriously!!! How cute is he?
Dallin, with his buddy Taige. This fort was built on Tuesday. They used these huge boxes we had, and duct taped them to the stairs and the rest of the entry way. We had to negotiate the length of time it could stay up. The kids voted for, forever. I said a week and a half, I won.

Dallin and Taige out in the back yard in the snow on Thursday.

Spencer, looking oh so handsome in his little mohawk.
Eliza and Dallin in the fort. They have been playing in there, eating in there, even sleeping. This really has been a very fun week.

Basketball "the new sport"

They are both having a fun time playing basketball. I am very lucky I get to coach there teams. They are still at the age that it's cool to have Mom around. It's fun to watch them play. Dallin is so intense and Eliza doesn't want to do anything wrong. All things aside, they are loving the game and getting some good exercises. Wednesdays is practice. Dallin is at 4 and Eliza practices at 6. So for that hour in between I make them get all there homework done, since we don't leave the gym until 7. As of now, it's working out.

Christmas break

Eliza with her friend Bella and Aunt Rachel.

Eliza with Aunt Rachel and Bella ice skating. It was lots of fun. Dallin and his friends Ford and Hudson went sledding with Uncle Tom and Uncle Matt while we ice skated. Then we all met up at the BYU creamery for unhealthy snacks. Lots of fun.
Matt trapped under my Mom's new bed she got for Christmas.
Dallin loves to fold origami. My parents had a foreign exchange student live with them about about 3 years ago. He was from Japan and as a gift gave my family things from his country. Origami supplies being one of them. Dallin loves to deplete the gift while he is visiting.
Eliza with Noell. My Mom made about 50 cookies for the kids to decorate while they where there. Of course this is always a hit.
I still need my brother Matt to send me the pictures form skiing and snowboarding. The kids had such a good time with lessons. Dallin has no fear. The 3rd time on the lift he asked to ride it to the top of the mountain with his Uncle Jerame. Who am I to tell him he can't do something. So up he went and sure enough he speed by me and Eliza skiing down the mountain. Eliza did just fine the 2nd day, when I quit teaching her. Ski lessons are the way to go, that's all I have to say about that. We just got a BUNCH of snow and I am looking forward to taking them to the ski resort.

BOYS

I love this picture. These are a bunch of boys in our ward. They met up on Saturday for an Air Soft war. Dallin has welts all over his legs, but it was the best time ever. They were out for 2 1/2 hours shooting at each other in the woods right by our house.
