6 months old

I can't believe my baby is 6 months. He is just about the cutest thing I have ever seen. He is my little lover, he loves to cuddle. He loves to smile, play little piggies, bang on his piano, flirt, and eat. He has got super fast hands, he pulls everything off the table. He loves his tub at night time. He thinks Dallin and Eliza are really funny and always laughs when his Mom dances around the kitchen. He already attracts all the ladies, every Sunday after sacrament meeting all the teenage girls beg to take him to class. He does hate one thing and that is his car seat, he throws the biggest fit I have ever seen a baby throw. He arches his back and pushes his feet against the bottom of the seat, he starts off with a low grunt and quickly turns it into hysterical crying. He is starting this routine when I walk him into his bed room and he realizes he is going to bed.(only at nap time) But all he has to do is flash you one of his many smiles and he's got me. I love him to pieces, he was worth all the work it took to get him here.

Attention Mom's / Room Fairy

I was reading my Mom's article on www.mormontimes.com about 2 weeks ago. After I finished her article I saw another on on house keeping. I thought how stupid an article written every 2 weeks on house keeping. I clicked on it to see just how stupid it really was. In there was a clip from a lady who invented the "Room Fairy." the Room Fairy is like Santa Claus and and the tooth fairy rolled into one, she comes by unannounced and if your room is clean she will leave you a present on your bed. The next day I told my kids about her. I told them that I would help them get there room clean to see if she would come by. They cleaned their room with the best attitude that day, and 2 days later she came by. They wake up every morning and make their beds, I even hear them telling each other lets keep our rooms like this so the room fairy will come, or don't forget to hang up your towel so when the room fairy comes she will leave us something. Today I walked up on them dusting their room so when she comes by she will be impressed. It has been 2 and a half weeks, the room fairy has stopped by twice and this is what there room has looked like the whole time. I have not had to say one word about cleaning their room. I LOVE the ROOM FAIRY!!!!

Skiing and Snowboarding

Thank goodness for helmets! Dallin and Eliza have informed us that they want to be in the Olympics. I explained to them what kind of work goes into that dream. Dallin responded with, "That's fine, you just need to get me up to the mountain before and after school everyday." Eliza's answer was, "Well, I'm already the fastest girl, probably faster than that girl in the Olympics right now."(Lindsey Vonn) So they are on there way to living out their dream. They went 3 times last week and of course loved every minute of it. Almost, Dallin had a pretty nasty crash after a series of jumps. It's a series of 4 jumps, he landed the first 3 and on the last one came in with a little more speed, and a whole bunch more air than anticipated. He came down on the back of his board and slammed his head backwards. Like I said, thank goodness for helmets, he had a heck of a head ache that night but ready to get back up there on Wednesday.

Steve and Eliza on the lift. Kind of bummed I have no skiing pictures of Eliza this time. Steve had the camera, and he and Dallin spent most of the day over in the snowboarding park practicing their jumps. Eliza and I spent our time working on her turns and keeping her skis parallel on her turns. She does really well over on the greens and blues. however, they have started doing some of the blacks and she lets some of the really steep parts get in her head. She freezes up a little, so we spent the second half of the day rebuilding her confidence on the blue runs.

Spencer cracking up! We are so lucking to have such a great family watch Spencer for us when we go skiing. I love them to death, and they love Spencer.

Phoenix Weekend

We took the kids to Phoenix 2 weekends ago to go see Mary Poppins. We got down there on Friday, dropped Spencer off with Steve's cousin Heidi. Actually she came and picked him up at the restaurant. When we where finished eating and it was time for us to head to the show, we ran into a problem. I left the car keys along with my phone in the diaper bag. We had to call Steve's aunt to get Heidi's phone number then she had to make a 15 minute drive to get the keys back to us. We were 5 minutes late to the show, and since our seats were 3rd row, upper balcony , in the very middle we had to disrupt everyone. It was extremely embarrassing and rude of us. Needless to say I was modified. After we were all settled we sat back and watched the show, and it was a great show. Everyone loved it.
The next day we woke up and swam for a while. That's right,t in Phoenix it was mid 70's warm enough for the kids to swim, just not for me. After swimming we went over to Golf Land, played golf went on the race cars.

I was wondering what Eliza was doing here. She informed me she had found a pocket for her golf ball. She is tucking it into the side of her underwear. It was a fun weekend very rushed but fun.

cookie cut

xoxoxoxoxoxox
I hear it all the time. Spencer looks so much like Dallin. Well I just wanted to confirm it. It kind of makes me laugh a little, because when I look at the pictures I realize "how much" they look alike.

Great System

So last Monday after the kids left for school I thought to myself,"This is not working." Every morning and every day after school I am making myself and my kids CRAZY! I am constantly hounding my kids, "Have you done your homework?", "Put your reading logs away?", "Make your bed!" I want self sufficient kids. Well we are on our way. This system was so easy. I picked these boards up at Office Max, and printed off these tasks on my label machine. Everyday they have to check off all these responsibilities. They each have a cubby, in their cubby are different folders. One labeled reading, another homework. I have a cubby and my folder is labeled Mom papers. Everyday they get home they have to empty there backpacks and put all papers away in the right folder. Then they start on there board. When they have checked off all there tasks they get to use there 30 of xbox, or TV time. One last thing I really stressed this. They can not check the task until the folder has been put away!!! All homework material put away!!! I have to say I think it has fixed the problem, for now. They are even waking up in the morning and doing their piano, and flashcards before school. It's been really great. Just wanted to share what is working for us.
One last thing, those 4 mail boxes on the top of the cubbies have been such a fun thing in our house. I got them at Target for a dollar a piece. We have been putting little notes in there to each other, everyone is in on it, even Dad. The kids get so excited when they see the flag up and see they are getting mail.

Happy 11th Anniversary to US!

On the 5th the flowers showed up. This is our actual anniversary. However it was on a Friday and Steve had to work till 7, so we decided to go out on Saturday. Saturday is the day the dozen chocolate strawberries showed up. I love this guy.
11 Reason's I love Steve and would marry him all over again.

1.He loves me, tons.
2.He works so hard to make me happy and the kids.
3. He is an amazing Father and provider.
4.He claims he never leaves his shoes out, while he is carrying 3 pairs back to his closet. Now if we are in a fight because I am complaining that no one cleans up after themselves, he claims he NEVER leaves hi shoes out.
5.He gets up with the kids some mornings and gets them off to school while I sleep in.
6. He still plays with my hair. It's my favorite.
7.He is pretty good about sharing the remote.
8.He knows I hate taking the car to get the oil changed, so he doesn't ask anymore.
9.He is kind to everyone, and never has a bad word to say about anyone.
10.He teaches my kids about their Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
11.He is super smart.
I will do just one more, you know, to get us through another year.
12.HE thinks he is really Funny! And I love him for it.
Love ya.

Superbowl Party

Here we are at our "SUPER"bowl party. We were cheering for the Colts. I was a little bummed they lost however, it was a good game and lets face it the Saints out coached them and out played them. So the better team won. Dallin was big time bummed.
Bumbo's were not around when I had Dallin and Eliza, so we missed out the first 2 times around. I have to say I think they are the best things ever. At dinner we just stick him right up on the table with us. My husband and kids want one for themselves. I could do without, I don't sit down long enough.

Here he is just being cute, so I had to snap a few. Love this kid.

Pocket Rockets

These little things are so much fun. They are made by razor(the same company that makes those motorized scooters). They go about 15 mph and from the night we had "pretty" safe. Only one person drove into the wall. Here is Dallin getting a feel for his new motorcycle.
Dallin and his friend Dillon racing around the track we set up. I guess there are some perks to being in the primary presidency. We went over to the church and set up different tracks for the kids to race.
Eliza had a hard time trusting the motorcycle. She didn't let her feet get to far off the ground.
Dallin and Eliza in a race. However,Eliza was NOT racing. She made that very clear.
I had to try in on the fun. I made it work, and it was fun.

Baby Spencer, being his oh-so-smiley-self. Really he is one of those babies that tricks you into another one. However, he is staring to be vocal about his dislikes, I can't buckle him into his car seat to save my life. He pushes his feet up against the bottom and arches his back, and then he starts to get upset if you try anymore to buckle him in. He is also staring to get upset when he wants to go to bed. He starts to get loud, not crying but almost this type of yelling. It's kind of cute.
Here we are at Steve's birthday party. The kids were so cute to come home after school and decorate the house. Eliza made the sign and Dallin put up the streamers and balloons. They made Steve close his eyes to come in the house and then led him into the kitchen and yelled surprise. So cute, and a fun birthday.
