All by myself

If Spencer could speak this is what he would be saying most of the time. While he is VERY cute to look at he is getting a little attitude. It started with getting buckled into his car seat and has led to a fit about diaper change, going into the stroller, or high chair. Anything that makes him feel confined. Now it has started with food. He has to feed himself. So here he is with a popsicle on the porch with all the other big kids. I dared Dallin to try and take it from him. Here is the grab and the resistance.
They lost it.
Spencer finds it.
Oh the content, and look at his eyes. He is saying, "I dare you to try and take this again."
So poor Lucy every night the kids call he upstairs and find a new way to keep her up there. Lately they get her all tucked in with 3 or 4 covers. She is a good sport she will stay a while and then finally break out and make it safely back downstairs to Steve and I.
Here are more pictures of Spencer.(I know I'm his Mom and think I have the cutest kid but, I think I really do) Steve is trying to help him peel back his banana but he is having none of it.

See look at the eyes, totally happiness because he is doing it all himself.
Here is what I have come up with for this little guy. He is a total charmer. He smiles at everyone but once they say hi he pretends to be bashful. (Flirt) He lours you in with his cute little face, and is such a cuddler, but, if you cross him watch out. I love the little guy to pieces.

D&E eating cinnamon

So my kids wanted to make a you tube video. My husband jumped on the opportunity to torcher them a little and dared them to eat a spoonful of cinnamon. Kind of funny. If you type in "Taige eats cinnamon" you can watch there friend try. It's really funny.

Flagstaff Fire

For the past few days I have been watching smoke filter out from behind the mountain. I heard as of yesterday they had it 15% contained. This morning we woke up to this, kind of smoke in the sky again. I guess early this morning they lost control of it. I stole this picture from Mark Moore. Thanks, Mark!!! It's a great picture.

Happy Father's Day

Now I'm not trying to brag or make things sound better than they are (he does have a few issues, I'm trying to work on them with him:)), but he is such a wonderful Dad and Husband. I really lucked out, I can honestly say I have it really good. He truly loves his kids and loves me. He lives everyday for his family and we all know it and love him for it. The best thing about my husband is he makes it possible for me to be the Wife and Mom I want to be, and provides the same for our kids. Happy Father's Day Hunny, I love you.

Spencer's first Shiner & Flagstaff Fires

Spencer is still so stinking cute even with a little black eye. Jordynn, who we love and will still have babysit. Seriously, we are so lucky. This family has the best kids, and their family LOVES my kids, WHICH makes them the best babysitters EVER! So Jordynn was babysitting and laying down with Spencer in her bed putting him to sleep. She accomplished her job, and got up to get the port-a-crib, when she heard crying. Spencer had woken up and fell off her bed, they think he hit the books on the way to the floor. Yesterday there was a fire in Flagstaff behind my kids school. We where put on standby yesterday and today that if we got the call to evacuate, we had 15 minutes to be out. Kind of nerve racking. Not enough to make me pack anything up though. This afternoon when we left for church there was a new fire. This picture is taken at the end of my street.
This picture is right outside my front door.
If you look across the lake you can see Emme and Eliza. I think of all the things we did, this was there favorite. They would ride out to the water fall and play something, not to sure what!
There they are, getting ready to ride the neighborhood.

Red Rock

We have had nothing but fun adventures at our house the last couple of days. On Monday we went to Westfork (so sad my camera's battery was dead). We played in Oak Creek all day, hopping from rock to rock. The boys tried to catch fish, while the girls played island girls,(???) and looked for Indian ruins. Today we spent the whole day at Red Rock. Spencer and Lucy where at my side all day. Spencer is not really a huge fan of the water. I have to be right there with him or he gets upset. I hope to have him loving water by the end of the summer. The girls, Emme, Tabby, and Liza'Lou, trying to warm up in the sun.
Lucy found another Lab to play fetch with. She had so much fun running through the water and playing with all the kids.
Emme hanging out by the slides.
We were so lucky to have Casside and Becca at the slides today. The girls fell in love with them and followed them around all day. The girls were so sweet to hang out with them ALL DAY!
Hallie with Spencer. She LOVES LOVES LOVES, Baby Spencer. She always says to me in her cutest voice ever, "I just love this baby", or "If you don't want that baby any more, can I have him?" Seriously the cutest girl ever.
Our group of trouble. Look to the left of this picture. Chase is getting ready to soak everyone when i count to 3. It was pretty funny.
I made everyone come back for another, good, picture.
And of course...on the way home we had to stop of at Dairy Queen for an ice cream cone. It's now tradition we can't leave without one.
This is a video of Dallin sliding down the rock slides. What a fun day!!!

Scouts Day Camp

Day Camp @ Camp Raymond. This is a bunch of boys for our ward. They were called the Sunshine Bandits. There call was, "Yee ha yellow, yippie ki a.' That is the call that won them the yell off at the end of the day.
Every scout camp has a spitting contest? Right?
At the rodeo, Dallin is bull training and shooting marshmallow's all at the same time, that's talent.
Bull Riding!!!
Of course they all left rich, panning for gold. I guess they call this boy scout gold. It's rocks painted gold.
From what I can tell all the boys had a great time. They came home, sunburned(even though all the moms sent them with sunblock, just none of the Dads put it on), filthy dirty, exhausted, and a lot of stories to tell.

Happy Birthday Dear Emmy!

We feel so LUCKY!!! Emmy is staying with us for 2 weeks and we got to celebrate her 8th birthday with her. For her birthday breakfast, I made them Mickey and Minnie mouse pancakes. Then we went miniature golfing and swimming. For her birthday dinner we set up a Luau Party on the deck. She requested nachos (her favorite) and tacos for dinner. Then we went back to the pool, had cake, opened presents, and hot tubed. Emmy was talking o her Dad before she blew out her candles.
After this picture, Emmy reminded Dallin of the other picture just like this one. This is what she told him, "Dallin now you have 2 pictures of us kissing you on the cheek, remember the one Aly took? When we were wearing nice clothes, sitting on the bench?" He was already totally embarrassed over this picture and I pretty sure he went to a darker shade of red.

Right before cake and presents. I just realized I don't have a picture of her cake up. I will add it in, just kind of irritated the pics are now out of order, oh well.

I'm a little upset. The video I took of us singing, blowing at candles and opening presents won't download, I have tried 3x's. So I am so sorry you don't get to see it.

Dbacks vs. Rockies

Finally we got out to a Diamondbacks baseball game. It was 108degrees in Phoenix. Thank goodness the stadium is indoors.

Watching the pitcher, Ubalbo Jimenez, for the Colorado Rockies, warm up.

Spencer is holding the shirt Dallin caught in the stands.
Go Diamondbacks.
Uncle Erik and Desi came to meet us and watch the game with us.

Dallin with his rally cap on. They where down 3-0, in the 7th, but the D-backs hit a 2 run home run. But couldn't come up with anything in the last 2 innings. Still a fun game.
