Early Thanksgiving in LaVerkin

Above is Spencer using the force. I am very far behind so I am guessing a little on the date. I think it was November 11th thru 17th that we went to Lavercan to meet up with Family (Grandma, Matt, Tom and Chelsea) and go to Zion's National Park. We also had a Thanksgiving celebration since we weren't going to be able to meet up with family on the actual day of Thanksgiving. Lavercan is this great little town right outside of Zion's. When I say little you really don't get it, there is all of one stop light at the very end of town. Small town aside we sure did have a great time. Steve even got to come with us, we love it when Dad comes. Below we are all doing P90X together, everyone except me, I had just had knee surgery 3 weeks earlier and was still having trouble with it. Only to find out about 3 weeks later I had to go back in for another surgery. I need to write about all of that business in some other post.
At the house in the backyard was a very "awesome" tree house. my kids loved it. They also loved the hammock that sat right below it. They spent a lot of time laying on it all curled up in a blanket reading.
Eliza loved this rope swing, I'm surprised she let Uncle Matt have a turn.
We played a lot of games this trip, sequence was a popular game, so was Uno. It got a little competitive to, below you can see how upset Grandma was getting. Dallin kept putting down, draw fours, and draw two's. Dallin was down to 2 cards and you can see how many he got Grandma up to.
It was a little overcast the day we went to Zion's, but still spectacular.

On the way home everyone was obviously very tired. It's only a 10-15 minute car ride home and yet they all managed to pass out.
Everyone else had to get home to work but the kids and I got to stay for a few more days. We went to a ghost town one day, I can't remember the name of it but we took some fun pictures there. Those three kids are defiantly my GOLD.
Dallin and Eliza having a shoot off.
This dog was the funniest part of the whole Ghost Town trip. While we were there we literally saw NO one. We were going down this rode just checking out the homes in the little town and we drove up on this little dog in the rode, he didn't move a muscle. We drove up on him, went in reverse, and drove back up on him. We sat there for a while then even honked the horn at him. This little dog sat right in the middle of the rode for a good 5 minutes. Finally it got up and ran up towards our car. The kids were looking out all the car windows trying to find out where the dog went, they were spooking themselves out saying the little dog was a ghost. It was really funny.
Just being goofy and pointing towards town.
We also went on a tour of Brigham Young's home, below we are picking almonds.

We went hiking one day at our favorite slick rock park in St. George.
I have no idea what they are playing but I love it.
Steve with his kids in the tree house, best Dad ever.
We went to our favorite spin park in St. George.

After the park we stopped by Mia's burial spot. Our very dear friend's the Dodge"s lost their sweet baby girl Mia a few years ago. Stopping by was to say hello to her, was bitter sweet. I'm so glad we did. Funny story about visiting her. I haven't talked to Julie, Mia's mother in a good 6 months. We were passing graveyard on the way to the park and I said to my kids, "On the way home after the park, let's go by and say hi to Mia." About a minute later Julie called me. It sent chills all over me. That is just not a coincidence.

it was such a fun trip, very relaxing. I got to hang out with my kids, do fun things, we read books, played games, talked about nothing, watched movies. We piled up in the same bed every night and read. Some of my favorite days, ever.
