Carzy hair

When he flipped up off the couch I immediatly remembered this picture from when he was younger on the tramp.
Eliza had to do it to.

Easter eggs

The kids dying Easter eggs. The kids started off with 6 each. Steve had 4 and I got 3. By the time we were done I got to do 1 and Steve was down to two. The kids dropped a few. So the Saturday before Easter I had planned a huge party I invited about 10 families to come over for a Easter egg hunt and BBQ. Due to the snow storm we had to call it off, maybe next year.
Dallin with his finished product.
It took Eliza the longest to dye her eggs. She had to get them just right.

Baseball Opening Day

Here she is before the game. We had a little trouble at first deciding which hand she should throw with and which side to bat from. She is a true lefty. She takes batting and running very seriously. She is always saying after her games. I don't even know where the ball goes after I hit it because I just run like lightning to the first base.
On opening day the get to say there name and number however since she is a little shy I think she got her name out as she ran by.
We know she plays hard look at that face. It was a little windy the day of there first game and this was the out come. She was so proud of her self for being this dirty.I told Dallin and Eliza that we know if they tried there best based on how dirty there uniform got.
Dallin fielding the ball. I laugh when he plays pitcher. They have to wear a helmet and a chest pad. I want to know what mom came up with this get-up I wish you could see them try and play in all this gear.
Dallin was very proud to say his name and number. If you look closely at his shirt you can see where Steve tried to put on the patch that goes on the left sleeve. By the time Steve was done he had tried to put the patch on the right sleeve and instead of ironing it on he glued it on. Then after he realized the patch was on the wrong sleeve he tried to peel the patch of leaving glue all over the right sleeve. At least he was trying to help. I tried to get Dallin a new shirt but you know how you get attached to your number and apparently that had already sunk in. He is the same number as his Dad.

District Pine wood derby

The morning of the big race. There were troops from as far as the grand canyon here for this competition. This Saturday was crazy. We had pine wood derby at 7:30 till 10:45. Then we went to Opening day for baseball. From there we went to Eliza's bowling pizza party for girl scouts. Then at 4:00 we had baseball practice for Eliza. I think I went to bed at 7:30 that night. How did my Mom juggle 5 of us I have no idea.
I have never seen a boy more proud of himself than at this moment.
Dallin took third place in the district races. He left with what he wanted. A Trophy!!

Pinewood Derby

Steve and Dallin really got into the pinewood derby race. I don't know how many trips where made to the hardware store. However the trips paid off. Dallin took third place and gets to go to district on the 18th of April. I also have to add, because Steve wants the truth out there. The boy that took first place ended up being disqualified from going to district because his wheels were not placed in the right spot and too far apart. Apparently not all the rules went out, they let him keep the first place trophy at the pack meet . So technically Dallin took second. Like I said it is important to Steve that everyone knows this.
Next in line to weigh in his car. Dallin is starting to feel the pressure.

Dallin with his buddies waiting for the races to start.

Dallin showing his excitement with another win.

Thrid is good, but it should have been second!!! (posted by steve)

Up coming garage sell

The other night we made Chicken Tortilla soup for dinner. Our new rule is you have to eat dinner or you go to bed hungry. Both kids through a fit about the meal.Eliza stormed away from the table but came right back and had 5 big bites. Dallin through a huge fuss. Even after an hour and a half later, when I was in the kitchen cleaning up, he came up wanting to know why I ruin his nights. I can take a good day a just wreck it for him. So I explained to him for the last time, "Dallin you may have a cinnamon roll after you eat your dinner. If you don't like the rule leave the kitchen." He threw his fist down at his side and screamed at the top of his lungs. I had to turn around because I was starting to laugh. He stomped around and then yelled, "That's it, when we have a garage sell I am putting my self on the table." At this point I was leaning on the counter shaking trying to keep my laughter in. Tears where already coming down my face. Then he screamed and added,"And I am going to be free." At that point I lost it.He could tell I was laughing he ran out the door and ran away for awhile. He came right back because he got cold.About an hour and a half later he came into the kitchen and said he was ready to take his bites. Which he did and got a cinnamon roll. It was one of his better fits and it was probably his best line yet.
