Lettus Wraps

I have been wanting PF Changs lettus wraps for about 2 weeks, but there is no PF Changs I had to make up my own and since they are so good and easy I am going to share them with you. Defrost chicken half way and slice thin. In frying pan throw in chicken, sliced almonds and chives. How ever much you want. Cook with Ken's Steak House Lite Asian Sesame with Ginger & Soy salad dressing. Slice up cabbage. slice up carrots leave uncooked. Use bib leaf lettuse of if they don't carry it at the grocery store you are at (like mine) use romaine. Throw all the stuff in and I like to dip it in the dressing. So good. Let me know if any of you try it and do anything different.

Out Of Africa

We took the kids to Out of Africa, in Camp Verde about 40 min. form our house. It was lots of fun. Very hot but fun. It is set up like an African safari. The climate is the same as in Africa just oppisite seasons. Even the vegitation is the same. We got to ride on the bus and hand feed giraffes. The kids got to feed the tigers. Once during the safari this animal with long horns came on the bus after the food. It scared the driver a bit because I guess they are very dangerous. We went to a show called tiger splash which was the highlight of the day. I didn't know tigers could jump that high. They feed the animals every other day so at 3:00 we got to watch the workers throw 40lbs of meat over the fence to these animals. Just before feeding time is very cool. All the animals can smell the meat and know its time. So they are all pacing the front of the fence growling and snariling at each other. The hyenias are doing some mooing thing and then while they eat laugh. It was great fun, and a very long hot day.

I want one of these!

And yes you are that close to the animals. It is only the chain link fence that seperates you. And Dallin dressed himself for this excursion. He thought it would be a good idea to dress all in camo that way no animals would eat him.He had this trip well thought out.

MUD PIT

The sequences of these pictures makes me laugh. Leah and Dallin can't sit peacefully next to each other, ever! I sat Leah down for the picture and Dallin pokes her with the spears he found on the walk.So of course Leah bites his spears. Eliza is just sittng there while they hash it out. Finally after what seem like forever we got a picture. Today we went to a new part of forest around our house.Across the lake is the Coconino Pine Forest www.fs.fed.us/r3/coconino/, (if you click on the picture in the middle we live in the San Fran peaks, Oak Canyon) but if you go down the street to the left there is a part that is owned by the state. It is full of mud pits. I let the kids play there for about 2 hours today. We chased a lizard and tried to pull of its tail. Looked for animal prints. We found racoon prints and coyote prints(and yes there is a lot of coyote around here). Then the kids made mud bombs which you see Eliza is holing one in the picture. I have a stack of them on the deck and am nervous about who of what they are going to be used on. Eliza is also holding her "glorious rock". There are real crystalls in it!!! We then spent about 30 building an agility course for Leah. Dallin and Eliza ran around it jumping over all the stacks of rocks and logs trying to get Leah to follow. Leah just ran around like mad going around all the obsticles. I wish I had my camera during the walk but oh well I won't forget it they were making me laugh. The mud on the faces came after Eliza sliped on the mud and made a bum print which Dallin thought was so funny. And they had to put mud on Leah too.

Buddies night @ Scouts

Dallin hard at work on his collage. The boys brought cut-outs from magazines of there favorite things. So their pack could get to know them. The big picture in the center of Dallin's collage is a bunch of skeletons riding in a car. He said he likes dead things that haunt people.
Whatever!
Bellow is the boys banner for their pack.We put all their names on it. They seemed to like it.

liza's bedroom

How can you not love pink.I just finished the bubble polk-a-dots that go around the top of the wall like a border. They turned out cuter than i could have imagined.I decided I am going to move into eliza's room. She has a big enough closet for me I think?? the only thing I have left is to sew up some pillows and finish the curtains. If you look closely at the 2 pictures on the wall , look at the ribbon(polk-a-dot,sheer) at the top of them that is what her curtains are made out of. I'll send more pics when I finish. this is the guest bedroom for anyone who wants to come and visit us.boys get over it!!!

GRAND Canyon

over labor day weekend my parents and matt came for a visit.i'm hoping my dad will send some of the pictures so i can show you all the fun we had.we went to sedona on the way we stopped at slide rock a state park.it's amazing its slick rock with shallow water running through it.it is a natural water park, with all sorts of water slides every where.we did the grand canyon.then we went to walnut canyon, a national park full of old indian ruins.we also went to downtown flagstaff which is my first time there. we liked it better than sedona.full of cute shops everywhere.wish the kids and pocket watchers(husbands) weren't there.

dallin is a little scared of hights.this is how he saw the grand canyon.
