Hard Choices

We recently had a very hard, and emotional choice to make. We all love Leia a LOT. However she is more than I can handle. I just didn't have the time to train her or give her the attention that she needed. She would run away every chance she got and was way to hyper around all the kids that are constantly at our house. Two days before we left on our trip she ran away again. We looked all over for her but couldn't find her. Then the very day we were leaving for Utah I was told about a sign reading," found black lab." I called and was sure it was our dog. However about 6 other people had called to claim their black lab. I explained Leia in detail to Sharon and Wayne and while they thought most likely our dog, they weren't sure. They said they would keep her until we got back into town. Well to sum this long story up. They feel in love with her while we were gone. They are a great fit for each other and Wayne has all the time in the world to devote to Leia. It was so hard to tell the kids that Leia wasn't coming home. There was a "LOT" of tears. Sharon and Wayne have been so kind and told the kids that they can come over whenever they want to see Leia. What is really great, is, they live across the street.
