Uncle Erik Weekend

Finally the weather is nice enough to sit on the back deck. So tonight after Erik had left from the fun weekend and we finished the last baseball game of the season we all went out back to sit and relax. And this is what we watched!!!! We sat and watched this falcon fly around and dive after sparrows. Despite the cold spring, I love Flagstaff.

While we all talked and laughed. Dallin was in the middle of writing, and making airplanes. I really don't think his creative side ever shuts down.
Spencer played with his puppy Lucy.
Eliza got tickled and just laughed a lot. I think she was a little delusional, lack of sleep. She had to much fun with Erik and Desi.

Friday we went to Sedona. We did some in town stuff, art galleries.
We got to Red Rock Crossing and it was already 93 degrees. Eliza sat in the shade and waited for the rest of us while we took pictures in the sun. However she set herself up for the cutest picture.
The boys in front of Cathedral Rock. Under Cathedral Rock is one of the Vortex's. There are ten regions around the world where there is this magnetic energy. Some are the Bermuda Triangle, the Amazon. You can hike into the rope swing on the way you pass all these rock pyramids that people build using the energy from the earth. CRAZY. There is some truth to it. The plates really are magnetic. while in the water you can see where some of the water is spinning in a funnel shape. That's the vortex energy. Apparently Sedona has healing energy. Unless you get in one of those sweat lodges then you will just die.
Eliza and Spencer in the magnetic water.
Erik summoning the energy
Dallin trying to meditate but can't keep a straight face.
Eliza obviously left with a lot more healing power.
Erik looks like he is taking this serious enough for both he and Desi.

Erik and Desi swimming in the water hole at the bottom of the natural water slides. It's like a fairytale with the horses in the background.
So Erik, Desi, Dallin, and Eliza wanted a picture of them jumping in mid-air into the water.
1st attempt, a little late.
2nd attempt, very late.
3rd attempt, a little early.

4th attempt, a couple seeing the jumpers frustration suggested I video tape it. Who knows how many jumps they would of had to try. Good old Uncle Erik could not resist the fact that I was recording.
